DESCRIPTION:Feb. 23\, 2025 – 10:30 a.m. – Educational workshop for the creation of musical instruments with recycled materials.\nA fascinating journey into the world of music and sustainability\, where children will discover how to transform urban solid waste into unique musical instruments. During the “I don’t throw you…I SOUND YOU!” workshop\, participants will be guided by Marco Serra in the creation of instruments inspired by tribal and folk traditions\, using salvaged materials such as bottles\, boxes\, caps and other objects commonly considered waste.\nThis workshop not only stimulates creativity and manual dexterity\, but also raises children’s awareness of the importance of reuse and sustainable development.  Through the art of creative recycling\, they will learn to give new life to materials otherwise destined for waste\, turning them into working musical instruments. DESCRIPTION:Games of yesteryear with the Museum of Traditional Toys of Sardinia\nA unique experience for the whole family in the picturesque Conti Vecchi Salt Pans\, a historical asset enhanced by FAI – Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano.\nSunday\, June 01 and Monday\, June 02\, 2025\nThe Salt Pans are a Conti Vecchi property and valued by FAI. \nIn collaboration with FAI and as part of the enhancement of the Conti Vecchi Salt Pans\, the Museum of Traditional Toys of Sardinia in Zeppara (Ales) is offering an outdoor educational workshop dedicated to the games of yesteryear. A special opportunity for children and families to rediscover the pleasure of authentic play\, the kind once experienced in squares\, courtyards and fields.  \nYoung participants can learn to play with “sa badrunfula\,” the traditional Sardinian spinning top\, and with hoop and stick\, developing coordination\, sociability and creativity\, in an activity that stimulates movement and contact with nature. At the end\, each child will take home his or her own spinning top\, as a memento of an educational and fun experience that links past and present.  \nMeanwhile\, adults can join a guided tour of the site’s historic buildings\, witnesses to a long history of production and industry. They have to center each piece and stack it precisely\, training hand-eye coordination\, concentration and fine motor skills.\nThe pieces are then decorated with non-toxic and safe tempera\, leaving room for imagination.
